Wrapping Up 35th Anniversary with Concerts in Ft. Worth & Denton – March 5 & 6

Denton nuclear polka band, Brave Combo, will conclude its year-long 35th Anniversary celebration with two concerts in the North Texas area.  On Thursday, March 5, the original line-up (Tim Walsh, Lyle Atkinson, Carl Finch and Lisa (formerly, Dave) Cameron will perform at the newly improved Live Oak Music Hall in Ft. Worth, TX.  The following night, Friday, March 6, the quartet will return to its birth place, Denton, TX, with a show at Dan’s Silverleaf.  Brave Combo formed at North Texas State University (now UNT) in 1979, with its first concert taking place in early April of that year.

Brave Combo has been performing, non-stop, in one form or another for 3 1/2 decades.  Tours have taken the band all over the United States, across Canada, to Europe and Japan.  The two-time Grammy Award winning band has had music in myriad movies and television programs, including an animated appearance on THE SIMPSONS.  The band’s discography includes over 30 albums and various EPs and compilations

The upcoming performances in Ft. Worth and Denton promise to be full of surprises and special moments, with performances of all of Brave Combo’s club hits, such as “My Girl Lollipop,””You Pull My Tongue Out,” “Three Weeks Polka” and  “La Francesita (cumbia).”  Also there will be expressive live readings from the band’s diary.
