A 3-DAY ENGAGEMENT AT THE NEW SANDS CLUB,

Denton Texas

DAY 1:

We didn’t know what to expect.  Most people there were watching Monday night football.  We did a variety of things, then a man came up and sang Hank Williams with us.  At the last set a bunch of people showed up and danced.  We did not accept his (mgrs.) offer of $20 for the last hour.  Dickie & Bennie’s people.

DAY 2:  #42

Not as many people, but some loyal polka-lovers.  Some disagreement within the band as to the sound.  Allyson, Mieko, et al came for the last 15 minutes and gave us all a lift by dancing.

DAY 3:  #43

We played very well tonight.  No crowd.  Gerald Blow came!
