WESTFEST:  for the 1st Time BRAVE COMBO Plays for a True Polka Crowd
Got home at 12:30 AM.  A key is off one of my pipes, the A key from the baritone regulator.  This is highly strange.
Westfest was great!  Everybody loved us!  The folks in charge gave us $100 to play an extra 2 hrs. & when it got time to quit they wouldn’t let us stop.  Someone passed the hat and we played another hour.  A lot of dancing.
We must have passed out dozens+ of business cards.
We had more free beer than we could possibly drink.
Comments like: That’s the best polka I’ve heard in 25 years!”
Jane and LeeAnn came along.
Definite gig for next year, Aug. 30 & 31
$180 + beer and kolachi!

I was there. Remember it like it was yesterday. Grew up in the Abbott/West area and haven’t missed a WestFest yet.
