BENNY’S POLKA HALL (& Irish Pub)

Cold Friday nite!  & Brave Combo is ready to get down (& get high)

Official managerial results: 1st set slow, 2nd set hottt, 3rd & 4th sets a little bit slow.

But many were dancing!  I wore my hat and as a result drew a complete blank at the climax of my big solo in “Clarinet Polka”.

Royce Pumpkin, Lyle & I’s ex campus band director was there. Naomi came & I did not even see her.

I played the bagpipes pretty badly a couple of times, people got a big kick out of it.

We played Louie, Louie so loud my ears rang for hours.

Dec. 1 Sat We started out tonight with some bagpipes, which I;m happy to say I played much better tonight.  We then proceeded to polka down in true B.C. fashion.  Good crowds at the beginning, thinning some then picking up after midnight.

We had a conga drummer set up next to the bandstand,  He played on just about every tune, until he finally lost it (I think he was drugged or something).  Some girl was doing crazy, excellent fast folk-style dancing to our faster polkas.

That cute blond waitress said the only nights she makes money is when we play.
