BARN DANCE
ANTI-NUKE BENEFIT – in countryside of Denton
The jazz group Hejira was playing when we arrived; it looked as if we were all in for a cold night of it. But the wood stove in the barn was soon lit; the door was closed and soon we were all toasty.
Two kegs of beer there were, and tons of potluck supper. Many good people were there from the Denton community.
We played two sets in the barn. People started in kicking up their heels and soon there was ore dust in the air than you can believe. Like walking in fog.
There was a power dropout for 10-15 minutes so Tato and I filled in acoustically for a while- Yakety Sax, Mambo Jambo, and Helena polka. We got some good requests from the crowd.

thanks for being there Tim,….it’s the music and musicians that help inspire us. We all had a great time and for good purpose.. the clouds of dust pouring out of the windows of the barn seemed to move in response to music as I saw it from the kitchen window. Brave Combo Nuclear Polka Band is the BEST! You rock, Tim!
Keeping diaries is great, especially after 32 years. Tim Walsh did a great acoustic rendition of the Star Spangled Banner when the power went out. It was on par with Hendrix’ at Woodstock. I walked down from my house on FM2449 to attend, good vibes all around!
