The NTSU Student Union Presents “Brave Combo”, In Concert at the Noon Courtyard Series
This day was highly rainy and cloudy, with emphasis on the dark side of cloudy. When Brave Combo was about to start, we were straining our eyes to see; the UB courtyard is lit from huge skylights above. It’s a good thing our nuclear polka band is not solar-powered.
We played one tune and the Union Program Committee director asked us to tun down. By announcing it, the people let us know that it should be louder, so we ended up by playing louder, I’m sure.
This was a fun concert. A good audience staring down on us from balconies above. Great applause. No dancers! Carl had to put his opened but uneaten bag of nacho-cheese-flavored-Doritos in the center of the courtyard as a lure to dancers during the last couple of tunes. We did “Crabapple” as an encore.
At this performance it began to become apparent that this Brave Combo was heavy duty music and much more practice was needed to get it down. However, our first big week was not over! Yet!
