“1st Anniversary Party” Inside the Long Narrow Dim (but nice!) Bar Yesteryear’s

downtown Ft. Worth (Commerce & Belknap) 8 – 11:30 PM

This was too good to be true.  Steve, owner of Yesteryears, laid some coke on us as soon as we arrived, and dug the band from the word go.  He was all heart.  So was Bill, the cook (or sandwich-maker).  Bill requested My Wild Irish Rose, which is now in our repertoire.  I was pestered constantly throughout the evening by a drunk ex-sax player.  He had lots of advice & $2, pretty tiring to me but worth it when I heard the polka tapes he had in his car.  “RAPHAEL SILVA” – dynamite!  I must hear it again –

And then – at just the right moment – it was she – ANGIE – swaying seductively to the tape music as we swilled beer and looked on with glee – ANGIE – those cool eyes, those long thighs – removing her top to reveal (“I’ve seen better that that!”) – yes, at last ANGIE – big, firm, well-rounded, and very little talent.  Unfortunately I think she got a lot more than we did.

We played some more.  LeeAnn and Bart were dancing a lot the whole evening.  My friend Barbara came and fell onto the stage when she was dancing.

Than more Angie – to a disco beat by Brave Combo – and finally stop.
