A STRANGE GIG TO BE SURE;

BRAVE COMBO AT TOOTSIE’s, White Settletment Rd. , Fort Worth, TX

We were scheduled as the “B: band, alternating 3 sets with a “reggae” band (the “A” band).  The audience was dead the first set until Henry, the Mercedes – Benz man, came into the beer garden.  He liked us so much he dropped a 20 – dollar bill on us.

During the second set we got ’em up and dancing.  Everything seemed fine.  Bob and Julie Lukeman were there, with some friends from New York.  Unbeknownst to us musicians,  some Mexicans took a dislike to the new yorkers and sprayed MACE in the man’s face!  From then on it was weird.  We took our money, ate our free breakfast (finished at 2:30 AM!) and we ran back to Denton.

Henry said he wants us to play at his birthday party on July 3.  Tootsie’s wants us back again;  we’ll see.
