BRAVE COMBO Finds a Beergarden in Denton
and Beers it Up!
Captain Nemo’s Beer Garden, Eagle Dr., Denton, TX
good crowd, finally everybody was dancing in this lovely beer garden under the trees and “Christmas” lights. We started about 9:30, after a BL Lacerta concert at the music school, and Milton (owner-mgr) stopped us at 11:30 ’cause police came by and said NO! after 11 PM.
They ran out of light beer before we quit.
Weather was cloudy and cool for July.

I knew clarinetist Robert Price and attended his BL Lacerta Improvisation Ensemble concert in the Methodist Student Center on the North Texas State University campus earlier that afternoon to a very sparse audience of maybe 4 or 5, including me and Tim Walsh. Robert, Tim, and I then talked quite a while and we broke up so that Tim could do laundry before the gig when I first heard Brave Combo!
You never forget your 1st time! This was mine.
