The Christmas pickle is a lesser-known Christmas tradition for some Americans. A Christmas tree decoration in the shape of a pickle is hidden on a Christmas tree, with the finder receiving either a reward or good fortune for the next year.
This year the Pickle Party is back and bigger for an evening of celebration.
On Friday, December 9, special pickle ornaments will be hidden all over the lawn of Old Bedford School (2400 School Ln.). With only your phone’s flashlight and the glow of Christmas lights to guide you, the hunt will begin at 6:30 p.m.
For those 21+, Tapville will be onsite with their self-pour technology mobile taproom that offers a wide variety of 16 taps, serving national and local craft beer, wine, cider, and seltzer.
In addition, there will be vendors onsite with some fun goodies, In & Out will be set up with FREE burgers for the first 350 people, and Brave Combo will be performing at 7 p.m. Who doesn’t like a little Polka with their pickles? Be sure to plan the perfect pickle costume for the night as there will be prizes!
Due to the nature of prizes and for safety, the pickle hunt will be 21 plus, but there will be an area on the sideline for kiddos to cheer on their adults while they search.
Don’t be sour, come and enjoy! It’s going to be a big dill!
