Due to the implementation of the downtown curfew by The City of Denton we are forced to postpone our drive-in presentation of True Stories. All tickets sold for both screenings will be valid for the rescheduled event on Friday, June 12th. Refunds will be honored if needed. Join us June 5th as KUZU presents a Drive-In theater showing True Stories in collaboration with Rubber Gloves and the Texas Theatre.
This cult classic film, directed by David Byrne, was shot right here in north Texas. Carl Finch opens with songs and his own stories of bringing David to Denton, working on the soundtrack, scouting locations, and performing in the film.
We’re limited to 30 cars, and parking spaces will go quickly, so please RSVP on Prekindle. If you don’t register for a parking space you won’t have a reserved spot. If the event does not sell out, the remaining spaces will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Price is $10 minimum per car (2 persons). Each additional passenger is $5.
This is an in-car event only, all attendees must remain in their vehicles. No lawn chairs or walking around. The show will be broadcast over the AM dial, so you can tune in on your radio. We will be serving food and non-alcoholic drinks directly to your car. Restroom available on request.
