POLKA DOT NITE #2
A good crowd tonite; many thanks to Karen Gustavus’ friends. Old friend and clarinetist Andy was there first set with news of a potential bagpipe wedding gig form me this spring. (We’ll see) some Golden Eagles were here tonight too. We played incredibly softly; still had a request to turn down further!
So we obliged happily.
Our friends from Selwyn School came and ordered the tables moved thereby creating a small dance floor in the middle of the restaurant. Many happy faces! The Dots did well tonight, leaving on a happy note of inebriation! Art and Carol came and watched too.
Poor Carl was getting ill and losing his voice during this gig; we had to watch what we played-
Thanks for the memories Tim. My favorite Brave Combo gig is still my sister Angela’s wedding reception at the Selwyn School Dining Hall. We Polka’d like fools till 3am. My cousin Charles came from England for the occasion and lost his virginity to a Texas Belle that same evening.

PS. I don’t know if you heard that Selwyn was severely damaged by fire in January. Brave Combo has scheduled a benefit concert in Denton on April 21 to help rebuild.
