AT LONG LAST – Brave Combo  plays PEPPER’S

Pepper’s Restaurant and Club, University Dr., Ft. Worth

Pepper’s has a huge stage (all “fenced in”) and seems to be a popular place for dropping in.  We got the gig without auditioning, so they had not heard us yet.  After one polka we were asked to turn down.  After one set we were asked to play jazz (man!)  We could not believe it.

So we played Misty and some other jazz jams.

A very strange situation.

Eddie Dunlap came and hung out with us and he decided to play the last set for fun [Eddie had previously played drums in the band Master Cylinder with Tim, and had also played and recorded with Carl].  Starting with Hendrix, we took off from there.  The band played extremely well.  We had the bartender and manager dancing around by the last few tunes.  Wonder if we”ll be asked back?

Bruce Payne came, and old friend of long ago.
